Synoptic Situation
A strong high pressure system situated in the Bight with a deepening surface
trough near the west coast.

Forecasts:
Thursday until midnight: NE winds 10/15 knots, easing to NE/SE 8/13 knots early
afternoon and S/SW 10/15 knots later in the afternoon. Seas to 1.0m. Swell to
1.0m.
Swell at Cottesloe: to 0.3m.
Winds on Melville Water: Similar, 5 knots lighter during the afternoon.

Friday: NE winds 10/15 knots, shifting NW 8/13 knots in the afternoon and W/SW
10/15 knots during the late afternoon. Seas to 1.0m. Swell to 1.5m.
Saturday: W/NW winds 8/13 knots, tending W/SW 13/18 knots during the afternoon.

Current Swell Observations:
Rottnest Waverider Buoy: 0.7m.
Cottesloe Waverider Buoy: 0.2m.
