Local Waters Forecast for Perth Waters
Issued at 10:00 am WST on Wednesday 22 February 2017
for the period until midnight WST Saturday 25 February 2017.

Weather Situation
A ridge of high pressure is developing across the south of the state and a low
pressure trough will begin to develop along the west coast from Thursday.

Forecast for Wednesday 22 February until midnight
Winds: Southeasterly about 10 knots tending south to southwesterly 10 to 15
knots around noon then increasing to 15 to 20 knots during the afternoon. Seas:
Below 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the afternoon. Swell:
Southwesterly 2 to 3 metres. Weather: Partly cloudy.

Forecast for Thursday 23 February
Winds: Southeasterly 10 to 15 knots tending southerly 15 to 20 knots in the
middle of the day. Seas: Around 1 metre, decreasing below 1 metre during the
morning, then increasing to 1 to 2 metres during the afternoon. Swell:
Southwesterly 1.5 to 2.5 metres, decreasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the
morning. Weather: Sunny.

Forecast for Friday 24 February
Winds: Easterly 10 to 15 knots becoming variable about 10 knots during the day
then becoming east to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots during the afternoon. Seas:
1 to 1.5 metres, decreasing below 1 metre during the morning. Swell:
Southwesterly 1.5 to 2 metres, decreasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the
morning. Weather: Sunny.

Forecast for Saturday 25 February
Winds: Easterly 10 to 15 knots turning east to northeasterly around sunrise,
tending northwest to northeasterly about 10 knots during the afternoon. Seas:
Below 1 metre. Swell: Southwesterly 1 to 1.5 metres. Weather: Sunny.
