Whitfords Volunteer Sea Rescue Group (WVSRG) is one of the largest sea rescue groups in the state, with over 100 active volunteer members operating 3 purpose-built rescue vessels and a 24/7 radio service that allows boat owners to log their boating plans.

Logging on with a sea rescue group dramatically increases the safety of the boat owner, passengers and the boat – and it’s free. The Group regularly performs over 200 boat rescues per year, bringing more than 500 people and several dogs safely back to dry land.

WVSRG operate from City Beach in the south to Alkimos in the north and approximately 30 nautical miles out to sea providing sea search and rescue services to the boating public.

We are a member of Volunteer Marine Rescue of Western Australia.
