What About Volunteering Yourself?

Whitfords Volunteer Sea Rescue, like almost all other similar groups is entirely volunteer based. All of our radio and boating operations are run by people who give their time and energy freely to keep boaties safe in Perths’ northern waters.

Whilst our volunteers all make a significant commitment to ensuring that boat owners and their families remain safe, most volunteers would agree that they actually get more out of volunteering than they put in.

Indeed, most of our volunteers would agree that the benefits they receive in return for their commitment far outweigh what they put in. These include:

  • significant skills training,
  • greatly improved knowledge of safety aspects of boating,
  • becoming a member of a valued community group and
  • a strong feeling of self-worth.

If you think you would like to volunteer with Whitfords Volunteer Sea Rescue, fill in a simple enquiry form and we will send you a formal application form and advise you about what is involved.
